About ComparePoolSoftware
An independent way to compare pool service software costs for the company you actually run.
Vendors bill by serviced pool, technician, user, route or flat tier. We translate their published subscription terms into comparable scenarios and a calculator. No listed vendor owns, runs or endorses this site.
Our pricing methodology
- Use the vendor as the source. Each tool links to its public pricing page and records the date checked. The date describes the source check, not a promise that prices cannot change.
- Keep one set of data. Product pages, comparisons and calculator examples use the same recorded pricing data and calculation rules. Calculated totals are arithmetic from those inputs, not extra vendor offers.
- Match the company size. Pool count means serviced locations per month. Technicians are field staff; office users are additional people who log in. User-priced tools count both. We assume one route per technician for route-priced software.
- Choose a modeled plan. We calculate the least expensive published plan in our data that meets its size limits. Explicitly modeled requirements, such as Jobber QuickBooks sync or Pool Office Manager’s QuickBooks add-on, affect that result. Other plan-level restrictions must be confirmed with the vendor.
- Keep billing terms separate. Monthly billing is the default. An annual figure is shown only where a recorded annual offer exists; otherwise the monthly figure is retained with an explanation.
What the subscription total leaves out
Card processing, setup, texting and add-ons are excluded unless the calculator explicitly says they were added. Vendor pages list the fees we recorded and identify rates that were not captured. “Not stated” and “not confirmed” mean unknown, not free or unavailable.
Estimates, quotes and rankings
A derived figure that is not an independently published offer is labeled as an estimate. Estimates are excluded from the lowest-cost guide and do not establish a winner in comparison tables. Quote-only products remain unpriced. A lowest-cost label compares modeled subscriptions, not service quality, reliability or every feature.
What we have and have not tested
The calculator is checked with automated tests for its recorded pricing rules, filters and scenarios. Our product descriptions summarize published information; they are not claims of hands-on use in a pool business. Editorial fit suggestions are based on the pricing model and recorded features. We do not create customer ratings or pretend to have tested a product we have not used.
Updates and corrections
The price-watch workflow checks vendor pages for changes. A changed page is a signal for review; its new numbers need verification before replacing recorded prices. If you find a mismatch, send a correction with the tool, plan and vendor source URL. Confirm the vendor’s current offer before buying.
How this site earns money
Some vendor links may earn a referral fee. That does not change the recorded prices or the cost-based order. Read the referral disclosure and privacy policy.
